The Philly Pigeon Collective hosts events, performs and teaches at colleges, universities, community centers, schools, museums, house parties, art galleries, jails, bars, and anywhere else dope people want dope poets to create something magical. As individuals and a collective, The Philly Pigeon is available for bookings and collaborations.
The Intersection is a performance poetry tour featuring Kai Davis, Jasmine Combs and Jacob Winterstein.
Through performances, poetry workshops and community building activities, the trio explores how home, place, and identity converge in personal and political ways.
Using their shared hometown, Philadelphia, as a unifying lens, the poets perform original work about how systems like red-lining, public education, and gentrification can lead neighbors to live in different worlds.
The Intersection pushes audience members to reflect on how they have been shaped by their environment and feel empowered to change the places they call home.
